Okay, lets put aside what so many people have said about red roses being bad luck for brides to carry.  To me, they represent great passion, and the thorns, in this instance, I find rather indicative of how even the most loving couple will encounter issues.  So I'm carrying 2 long-stem red roses when I get married the end of the month.  It's a completely secular service - he's nominally Christian, I'm a non-denominational pagan.  But I'd like to use the ribbon I'm holding the roses together with to represent the binding.  Any thoughts on whether I should taglock the roses?  Or does the fact that I'm carrying them on our wedding day serve?

(Listening to an acoustic Warren Zevon cd.  Gods, he was awesome.)
